Industrial mechanical assembly: plants, lines and organised teams at your site

VF Montaggi has been working in mechanical assembly for the manufacturing industry of northern Italy since 1993. We work on fabricated steelwork, drive systems, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic units, modular structures and mechanical automation, across four types of job:

• Installation of new plants and lines — on-site assembly of complete production lines and mechanical commissioning, with dedicated project management for the site.
• Revamping — replacement of units, upgrades to existing machines, bringing idle or obsolete plants back into working order.
• Plant relocation — dismantling, handling and reassembly of lines or machinery between departments or between plants, with a planned restart.
• Pre-assembly at VF — for complex installations, build-up and pre-testing of the units at the San Vendemiano and Fossalta di Piave facilities before final installation, to reduce downtime at the customer's site.

If instead what you need is entire machines assembled in our workshops on your behalf, the service is contract machine assembly.

Assembly teams at the customer's site

Many machine builders and plants have an assembly department that cannot absorb the peaks, or work that does not justify permanent hires. The usual answer is to add people. We do something different: we bring in a department that is already organised.

Every VF team working at a customer's site has a VF team leader on site, directly accountable for safety, quality and progress. Recruitment, training, PPE, medical checks and safety obligations are handled by VF. The customer agrees the objectives and receives progress reporting; there is no need to coordinate, train or supervise.

The result is a department that is operational from day one, scales from 2-3 people for a one-off job to 15-20 technicians for a site or an ongoing contract, and stays stable even as individuals rotate, because the method belongs to VF, not to the individual.

This is not temporary staffing. The personnel remain employed by VF Group, which is accountable for the result.

How a job runs

1. 01 Assessment — site survey, review of layout, drawings and production constraints. Activities, timescales and required skills are defined.
2. 02 Planning — team composition, schedule, pre-assembly at VF where applicable, safety plan.
3. 03 Execution — assembly with a VF team leader on site, progress reporting, coordination with the electrical scope where included.
4. 04 Commissioning and handover — mechanical checks, handover, documentation of the work carried out.

For teams at the customer's site, contracts range from one-off jobs of a few weeks to multi-year agreements, with headcount adjusted to changes in workload.

Mechanical and electrical on the same site

On installations and revamping the electrical scope almost always arrives alongside the mechanical one. VF Elettrica works in parallel on the same sites for machine-side wiring, electrical panels and design: one point of contact, one schedule.

Operating sites in San Vendemiano (TV), Fossalta di Piave (VE), San Felice sul Panaro (MO) and Romans d'Isonzo (GO). We work mainly in the provinces of Treviso, Venezia, Vicenza and Verona, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia (Pordenone, Udine, Gorizia) and in Emilia-Romagna (Modena, Bologna, Reggio Emilia, Ferrara). For other provinces we assess case by case.
