Machine-side wiring: from the schematic to a tested machine
Electrical and pneumatic wiring of machines and production lines, carried out by VF technicians to the customer's schematic, with preparation at our facilities and installation on site.
What the service covers
- Power, control and signal wiring to an EPLAN, SPAC or AutoCAD schematic supplied by the customer or developed by our engineering office.
- Installation and connection of sensors, actuators, motors, drives and the on-board panel.
- Pneumatic work: tubing, valve islands, fittings.
- Trunking, cable glands, labelling of conductors and terminal blocks.
- Electrical testing with calibrated instruments: continuity, insulation, functional checks.
- As-built documentation updated to reflect changes made in the field.
Two ways of working
At the customer's site
VF technicians wire the machine at the customer's plant, travelling throughout Italy and, from the Romans d'Isonzo site, to Slovenia and Croatia as well. This suits large machines or machines already positioned in the line.
At a VF facility
For OEMs producing in series, or for large machines, the San Vendemiano and Romans d'Isonzo facilities offer covered space for pre-wiring, build-up and storage. Pre-wiring the units at VF cuts time on site and allows work to run in parallel with the mechanical build.
How an order runs
- 01 Assessment — review of the schematic, bill of materials and machine layout; check of any end-customer constraints (brands, labelling, wiring standards).
- 02 Planning — arrangement (on site or at VF), team, schedule, coordination with the mechanical scope.
- 03 Wiring — carried out to the agreed schematic and standards, with a VF contact for the order.
- 04 Testing — electrical and functional checks, correction of non-conformities, support during commissioning.
- 05 Handover — as-built documentation and test report.
Wiring, panel and assembly as a single supply
Machine-side wiring often arrives together with the electrical panel and, for customers who outsource assembly, together with the mechanical build.
